Enjoy fishing at one of the most popular coldwater trout streams in the state of Iowa, Waterloo Creek. It offers exceptional angling for brook, rainbow and brown trout. The section of Waterloo Creek near Dorchester is not stocked, but fish caught here are often larger 14-inch brown trout swimming the bends and deep holes.
When you need a break from fishing, gaze at the limestone outcroppings and forested bluffs. Visitors enjoy eating at Wings Bar and Grill, Dorchester’s local, family-run restaurant, and home to the fantastic fried chicken.
